COVID Safety Plan

COVID Safety Plan

The NTE2022 Team will closely monitor the national Covid-19 situation and do all it reasonably do to ensure that NTE is as Covid-safe as possible and keep NTE registrants up to date on any necessary changes to our Covid plans.

This plan is subject to change in response to community care and government requirements.

NTE attendees will be required to:
– test negative* for Covid prior to NTE. Attendees will need to do a RAT or PCR within 48hrs before NTE (or pre-NTE) and submit confirmation to AFES via a webform.
– follow the ACT Covid rules if they test positive to Covid while at NTE.
– monitor for Covid symptoms. If symptomatic, isolate until a negative RAT result is obtained.
– report any Covid positive test results to the Covid Marshalls and your staff worker, to determine the best care and isolation plan.

NTE attendees will be encouraged to:
– maintain good Covid hygiene practices during NTE.
– wear masks in enclosed spaces, or where social distancing isn’t possible.

Attendees will be fully refunded their NTE registration fees in the event that:
– NTE is cancelled due to government Covid restrictions.
– they are unable to travel as a consequence of Covid restrictions.
– they test positive for Covid in the 2 weeks prior to NTE.

*Based on current
ACT government Covid requirements, testing is not recommended within the first 28 days after being released from isolation as a positive case. AFES still requires attendees to submit this information via the NTE Covid test webform.
