At NTE if you test positive to Covid-19, inform your staffworker/supervisor and they will share that information with us in this webform.

The NTE2022 Team are closely monitoring the national Covid-19 situation and are doing all they can reasonably do to ensure that NTE is as Covid-safe as possible and keep NTE registrants up to date on any necessary changes to our Covid plans.
This plan is subject to change in response to community care and government requirements.
If you have Covid symptoms before travelling to NTE do a RAT* and stay home if you test positive. If you still have or acquire symptoms when you are in Canberra do a RAT and isolate if you test positive.

At NTE:
- Sanitise your hands regularly including before meals and main sessions
- Wear a mask while singing (bring your own, or available at entry)
- If you have Covid symptoms, take a RAT test (bring your own, or get one from NTE office).
If you test positive:
- take care, including seeking medical help as appropriate.
- do not attend NTE meetings or meals and wear a mask to protect others around you.
- inform your Campus Staff for support. Campus Staff will inform the NTE Covid Marshall.
- inform ACT Health https://www.covid19.act.gov.au
- arrange for your travel home, as appropriate.
- in consultation with you and your Campus Staff, AFES may provide alternative accommodation for your comfort and the health of others.
If your test result is negative:
- take care, including seeking medical help as appropriate.
- wear a mask to protect others while you have symptoms.
- inform your Campus Staff for support.

Before NTE AFES will:
- review ACT Health Covid-19 Legislation and advise all delegates of the Covid Safety Plan.
- purchase masks and Rapid Antigen Tests, to be handed out as necessary
- prepare appropriate Covid-Safe signage and appoint a Covid Marshalls
- organise Covid-safe practices such as cleaning, sanitiser, mask distribution
- organise suitable accommodation for Covid-positive cases.
During NTE AFES will:
- remind everyone of Covid-Safe practices, including requirement to wear mask during singing, sanitise, love each other by being careful.
- provide spare masks at entrances to main sessions.
- provide RAT tests upon request from office.
- ensure high-touch surfaces are regularly sanitised.
- liaise with delegates and Campus Staff when someone tests positive and rrange for alternative accommodation if necessary to protect other delegates and for the comfort of the delegate.
AFES does not provide medical advice, treatment or transport home.
After NTE – in the case of a delegate being too sick to return home, AFES will liaise with the delegate and Campus Staff regarding appropriate accommodation and health care options.

Attendees will be fully refunded their NTE registration fees in the event that:
- NTE is cancelled due to government Covid restrictions.
- they are unable to travel as a consequence of Covid restrictions.
- they test positive for Covid in the 2 weeks prior to NTE.
Based on current ACT government Covid requirements, testing is not recommended within the first 28 days after being released from isolation as a positive case.
