Registration commences at 9:30 at Belgrave Heights Convention Centre. Please head to the foyer of the main auditorium. The conference will begin at 10am, we advise that you plan to arrive before 9:30am so you can be registered in time for the conference.
Accommodation check-in will commence after our first all in session. So after you park, leave your bags in your car, but bring your small backpack with bible and pens. Head to the check-in and then you will be directed to go into the main auditorium. After this we will instruct you about your accommodation. If you are being dropped off, bring your luggage with you and we will store it in the foyer during the first session.
A leader’s pre-conference is running for all student committee members, staff and apprentices starting at 8:30am in the Blackwood Room. Please head straight there and you can register for the main conference later.
There is parking on site, however given that we have over 450 attendees we strongly recommend that you organise car-pooling. Please contact your local university group to organise. The carpark is located off Convention Avenue and signage around the camp will assist you in finding it.
About
NTE2024 In the Regions – Victoria is a Christian training event for university students, run by the Australian Fellowship of Evangelical Students (AFES). Our aim is to train students in and equip students with the gospel of Jesus, so they can be sent back to their local campuses, churches, and communities to serve others. Dan King
AFES FOCUS Staffworker – Monash University
Dan King is married to Helen, and has three children.
Since 2006 he’s been sharing the Gospel with international students at Monash University in Victoria with the Australian Fellowship of Evangelical Students (AFES).
He can vaguely remember the days when he had spare time, and seems to recall that he likes books, movies, board games, and the great indoors
Pete Sorrenson
AFES Victoria Regional Team Leader & Staffworker- Deakin University
Pete is a raging introvert… and loves days off with all electronic access to the outside world completely disabled (unless in the form of televised sport). He has an unusual passion for to-do lists and is famous for carrying a small bag of almonds to any and all CU/AFES camps. He learned to trust Jesus at age 21 thanks to the faith of a mum, the courage of a mate and the persevering grace of Jesus.
Married to Erica and with 4 great kids, Pete did his own AFES MTS Apprenticeship for 3 years instead of the usual 2 (a remedial year perhaps…?) at the University of Wollongong. For 12 years he served as a AFES Campus Staff Team Leader at Deakin Burwood and is now the AFES Victorian Regional Team Leader (and hopes to work out what that means soon…)
