Please read all the Final Details in the dropdown lists here – it’s very important that you know what to bring, what to do and what to expect at NTE2024 In the Regions – Queensland.

Digital QLD Booklet

  • Bring your Bible, pen, notebook, clothes/shoes/hat etc (for all conditions during the conference and mission i.e. warm, cold and wet), towel, and toiletries.
  • Consider bringing face masks. Though we don’t need it now, it’s handy to have just in case.
  • For dormitory accommodation, please bring all of your own linen including sheets, sleeping bag/quilt/blanket, pillow and pillowcase.
  • If you are camping you will need to bring everything you would normally take camping (i.e. tent, sleeping bag, air mattress, etc). However, you will not need to bring any cooking equipment as all meals are provided. The camping area will be divided into exclusive sections for men and women with a married section available. If you wish to share a tent with friends please organise this with them before NTE2o24 In the Regions – Queensland.

Optional extras:

  • Money for the conference book shop.
  • Board games or other free time fun options (including swimwear/clothes for getting wet and inflatable rings for water slide).
  • Bathmat and shower thongs.
  • Snacks / morning and afternoon tea.

Please organise transport with your own campus group – whether you can drive and offer a lift to others or if you yourself need a lift. Get in touch if you need to be placed into contact with someone.

Lunch on Monday is NOT provided so please organise to eat with friends or your campus group before arriving.

Drive in the main entrance and you will be directed to parking. Then walk to the registration area in the shelter near the main auditorium. There you will receive your nametag, NTE resources, and accommodation details.

The first session will start at 2pm exactly.

Arriving later than 2pm? Let us know by Friday 29 November

There will be a coffee cart in the main auditorium selling coffee, hot chocolate and tea. Profits will go to support Myanmar Fellowship of Evangelical Students. It’s a double-win: your caffeine needs are catered for, and your money goes to a worthy cause. More details at NTE2o24 In the Regions – Queensland.

If you are feeling unwell then please do not attend, or wait until recovered according to the necessary exclusion period and being considered non-infectious before attending (e.g. minimum exclusion periods for infectious conditions for schools).

Camp finishes with a take away lunch from 12:30pm-1pm. Please make sure you allow for this in any of your plans after the conference.

If you’ve read all the Final Details above and have further questions, please talk to your campus staffworkers.

David Walter

IFES South Pacific General Secretary

David Walter is the IFES Regional Secretary for the South Pacific, seeking to encourage and assist the national student movements in our global region, as we strive together to share the gospel of grace.

Together with his wife, he has worked in student ministry for over 30 years. David has learned much about both confidence and humility by making a million mistakes and seeing God do great things in the midst of it all.

David says that his two best decisions were accepting Jesus as Lord and Saviour when he was 6 years old, and asking Cathy to marry him a number of years later. The fact that they both accepted him, David counts as incredible works of grace.
